When my son was four years old we walked the path between the two towers, on the grounds of Blarney Castle, in the photgraph on the left.
Sometime later, he asked me if we could go back to see the "ii", pronounced by him as "the eye-eye." I confess to being totally baffled by his request. What I did not understand at the time was how my son imagined those two structures and mentally filed them as two giant letters i. Some would say that, even at his young age, my son was "thinking outside the box".
Another way to describe my son's concept would simply be, "vision". At Server Cafe, we assist our clients with having a vision. A vision of their company on the Internet, and all of the related possibilities a web presence can bring.
It is those concepts that motivated us to create a website for our first client on November 3, 1997. In short order we realized that it would probably be a good idea for us to have our own website; thus, the registration of our original domain, cafeoui.net, on the last day of February of 1998. In mid 2003 the decision was made to rebrand ourselves to a name that was easier to pronounce, spell, and remember. It was then that our current name, servercafe.net, was born.
Over the years, our personal relationship with our clients has given them the confidence that we truly care about their success. One way to look at us is as a family owned business with clients that are family owned businesses.
We take pride in our relatively small size and will never allow our growth to make us complacent, or to take things for granted.
Oh, and by the way, that first customer that got us started in 1997 is still with us...and we thank them for their continued business.
